Links golf is supposed to be windy….not sure the lads were prepared for it to be this windy. Turns out Rob is a wizard in the wind and lands the whitewash. The Kardashian swing is over half complete now, only Brancaster and Seacroft to go!
Rod 0-5 Rob, 11-14
The morning after the night before. A few too many shandys make for a tough day at the office. Rod holds it together best to score the first whitewash. They tried to record a pod after this. A terrible idea, and it got canned. A long hot summer meant the course perhaps wasn’t seen at its best, with some rodent damage and scorched turf, but some fabolous features and a proper links course. Perhaps return without a fuzzy head…
Rod 5-0 Rob, 11-9
Its Robs birthday weekend so Rod decides to go easy on him. The wind picked up for the back 9 after it all seemed a bit too easy on the front 9. A stunning course in immaculate condition - ‘the best so far’. The lads discuss the ease of falling into a rut/routine in life (pod yet to be aired)
Rod 1-4 Rob, 6-9
A stunning links on the Langness Peninsula on the Isle of Man. The lads were treated some some beautiful weather and give huge thanks to Johnny Evans (and Loni) for hosting. Rob hits back in the contest to level it up.
Rod 1-4 Rob, 5-5
Rod hits a lucky streak that we talk through on Episode 3. He takes the win by 4 points (win + closest to pin) to Robs 1 (longest drive). Steam train nearly de-rails his focus. The lads discuss the impact of external influences on mental state, mostly Rods topped 3-woods and the impact on Robs performance.
Rod 4-1 Rob
